Once submitted, receiving the completed Estate Plan takes approximately five business days. VEPS lead time may vary.

The Stages of a Submitted Estate Plan and Helpful Tips

1- In Progress

Either the advisor or the client is still working on the Estate Plan.

If you add notes to Encore, our team reviews them after you submit the plan. If you have questions that prevent you from proceeding, email our support team or use the interactive chat feature.

2- Review Pending

The plan has been submitted to Encore for review and preparation.

This starts the estimated one-week turnaround time for Estate Plans. VEPS lead time may vary.

3- Under Review

Our team begins the first level of the review process, part of a 60-point checklist, to ensure no red flags. We have started drafting the plan documents.

4- Level 1 Approved

The plan has cleared our first review stage and is now in our second review stage. If our final review team has questions, they will contact the advisor for answers and/or confirmation on particular items.

5- Level 2 Approved

This is applicable for plans that have selected our attorney review option. The plan has cleared Encore's review process and is now sent to an outside attorney for their review.

6- Ready to Sign

You have received an email or in-app notification that the Estate Plan is ready to be signed. You now have access to the documents that are ready for signature, instructions for signing them, and an explanation of the documents under the tab "Plan Documents."

Changes to UNSIGNED plans submitted within 90 days are free of charge. This free service is only available once per submitted plan. A $125 Amendment Fee will be charged for any additional change requests or after the 90 days. If you have multiple changes, submit them simultaneously to avoid the amendment fee.

7- Signed & Completed

You have updated your Estate Plan Dashboard. The plan has been signed, and the status now reads, Signed & Completed!

Signed deeds should be emailed to Encore for recording unless we have requested you to do otherwise.
